1. Who we are
Great Marketing Works Ltd, trading as SpeakerPrice, is the data controller for personal data processed through SpeakerPrice.

Great Marketing Works Ltd also operates SpeakerProfile, SpeakerBlog, StageReel, SpeakerShoutOuts, Speaker.Marketing and SpeakerMarketing.org, and is the controller for those too.
2. Who this notice is for
This notice covers two different groups of people, and they are treated differently.
Speakers who use SpeakerPrice to capture and qualify enquiries. Sections 3 and 5 onwards apply.
People making an enquiry about booking a speaker. Section 4 is written for you. If you have just filled in an enquiry form, that is the section to read.
3. If you are a speaker
What we collect
Your name, email address, the rates you set, your enquiry settings, and the enquiries submitted to you.
We use this to run your account, operate your enquiry form and give you pricing guidance. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you under the Terms.
How long we keep it
While your account is open, then 90 days, then deleted. If your membership ends, the Terms set out the timetable for your enquiries.
4. If you are making an enquiry
You have not signed up to anything and you do not have an account. Here is exactly what happens to what you submit.
What we collect
Your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, your organisation, and the details of your event — date, format, audience, location and budget.
Why
So that the speaker you are enquiring about can respond to you, and so they can understand the opportunity before replying.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: passing your enquiry to the person you chose to contact. You approached the speaker, and this is how your message reaches them.
Who sees it
The speaker you enquired about. That is the point of the form.
We do not sell it. We do not share it with any other speaker. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
What we will never do
We will never email you marketing. We do not add you to any mailing list. We do not use your details to promote our products to you or to anyone at your organisation.
We do not contact you at all, except where you have asked us something directly.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for 12 months so the speaker can find it again, then delete it.
You can ask us to delete it sooner. Email dan@greatmarketingworks.co.uk and we will delete our copy and tell the speaker you have asked.
Once the speaker has it
Once your enquiry reaches the speaker, they hold a copy in their own business. What they do with it is their responsibility, and our Terms require them to use it only to respond to you and not to add you to a marketing list without your agreement.
If you want the speaker to delete their copy, ask them directly. If you cannot reach them, tell us and we will pass the request on.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time, without having an account. Email dan@greatmarketingworks.co.uk. Section 8 explains how to complain.
5. Where information comes from
Directly from you, whether you are a speaker or an enquirer. We do not buy or enrich enquirer data from any other source.
A speaker's account details may come from their SpeakerProfile if they have one.
6. Who processes information for us
These providers act on our instructions and may not use the information for their own purposes.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so some information is processed outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations for the United States, or on standard contractual protections approved for use under UK law.
7. How information moves between our tools
Great Marketing Works Ltd runs seven connected tools plus an internal system called SpeakerCRM.
Speaker account information — name, email address and which tools they use — is sent to SpeakerCRM, our internal record of who is a member.
Enquirer information does not move. Your enquiry is not sent to SpeakerCRM. It is not shared with SpeakerBlog, StageReel, SpeakerShoutOuts or any other tool. It goes to the speaker you contacted and nowhere else.
8. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data
You have two separate rights here, and you can use either or both. You do not have to come to us first.
Complain to us. Email dan@greatmarketingworks.co.uk with "Data protection complaint" in the subject line. We will acknowledge it within 30 days and tell you what we are doing about it. This is your right under section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018.
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. This is your right under section 165 of the Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Cookies
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to make the service work, such as keeping a speaker signed in. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.
10. Automated decisions
SpeakerPrice suggests a price range using your event details and the speaker's own rates. That is guidance for the speaker, not a decision about you, and the speaker decides what to charge.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone that have legal or similarly significant effects.
11. Security
We protect personal data using encrypted connections, access controls and authenticated hosting. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
12. Children
SpeakerPrice is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe we hold information about a child, tell us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when what we do changes. Each version carries a number and an effective date. Where a change is significant, we will tell speakers directly.
